Why We Made
This "Toolkit"

This Invite Toolkit is here to help you practice

evangelism by inviting someone to

Easter at Christ Church.

You’ll find images you can text, ideas for

what to say in person, and simple posts

you can share on social media.

Our goal is to equip our church to

do the work of ministry and help

others hear the good news

about Jesus (Ephesians 4:12).

evangelism (noun)
The act of proclaiming or announcing the good news of the gospel — the message of salvation through
Jesus Christ.

(Mounce's Complete Expository Dictionary)

How to Invite
Someone to Easter

Pray First

Ask the Lord to place specific
names on your heart. Pray for:
1. Open doors
2. Boldness
3. Genuine love
Write down 3–5 people and
begin praying regularly for them.

Build Relationships

Evangelism grows best
through real relationships.
1. Share a meal
2. Meet for coffee
3. Ask good questions
Love people without treating
them like projects.

Start Conversations

You don’t need a script.
You do need intentionality.
Questions that often open doors:
“Did you grow up around church?”
“What do you think about Jesus?”
Listen well. Speak clearly about Christ
when the opportunity comes.

Make the Invite

When the time is right:
“I’d love for you to come to church
with me this Easter."
Invite them to sit with you.
(Find service times further
down in our Toolkit)

When They Come

1. Sit together
2. Introduce them to 2–3 people
3. Ask what stood out
4. Invite them back
Keep the relationship going
Attendance is not the goal. Faithfulness is.

What They'll Hear

1. The gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. Why the Bible can be trusted.
3. How Christianity is different
from other religions.
If someone in your life is spiritually
curious, this is a great opportunity.

Hey! I don’t know if you’ve heard, but Christ Church in Norman is having a Good Friday service on April 3rd at 6:30 PM. It should be over by 7:30 PM. I went last year and really appreciated the quiet, somber, and reflective way we remembered the day Jesus gave His life for us. Would you like to go with me?

Template 2
Hey! I’ve been thinking of you and miss seeing you. I want to invite you to join me for Christ Church’s Easter service on Sunday, April 5th, at 10:30 AM. Would you like to come with me? The people at Christ Church have been really encouraging for me, and I hope it can be the same for you.

Not Really FAQs…
But Definitely Helpful

Why Easter?
Easter celebrates Jesus’ resurrection, the ultimate hope, and it naturally opens conversations about faith.
What if they don’t share my beliefs?
That’s okay. Listening, caring, and showing Christ’s love often speaks louder than words.
How can I invite without being pushy?
Keep it personal and genuine. Share why Easter is meaningful to you and let them decide, without pressure.
Should I follow up afterward?
Yes! A simple message or chat to hear what they thought shows care and keeps the conversation going.
