Wisdom Through God and God Alone

Job 28 teaches that true wisdom—especially in times of suffering—cannot be discovered or bought through human ingenuity or effort, but comes only from God. Wisdom’s value exceeds all earthly treasures, and it is found in “the fear of the Lord,” a reverent, awe-filled submission to God that leads us to turn away from evil. Practically, this looks like a life of faith, repentance, spiritual disciplines, and daily submission to Christ, trusting Him in trials just as Christ embodied perfect wisdom in His own suffering.
