Did Jesus Really Rise From the Dead?

In this sermon, Pastor Chad urges Christians to anchor their faith not in experiences, people, or church culture, but in the literal, bodily resurrection of Jesus as the unchanging touchstone of belief. He presents a simple six-step historical case for the resurrection—Jesus’ death by crucifixion, burial in a known tomb, the empty tomb, numerous post-resurrection appearances, and the resurrection as the best explanation of these facts—and encourages believers to be prepared to share these reasons with others. He then calls the church to personally trust in the risen Christ (Romans 10:9) and practically practice “gospel dinners” in their homes, learning to articulate why they believe Jesus rose from the dead.
