- Ability to play to a click
- Ability to adjust your play style to maintain the integrity and atmosphere of the song’s original composition
- Awareness of song arrangement, leading song dynamics and transitions rather than reacting to them
- Full sound with an emphasis on solid body and a powerful attack
- Ability to listen and play in sync with the bass player
